Me in front of a painting I did on my studio wall sometime in the early 2000's and one of my last paintings completed in San Francisco sometime in the mid 90's. The figure was a untitled and nondescript but it's clear from the posture where it came from.

I am really pleased how the paintings paired up with Alex Corno's sculptures at Valley House Gallery. Especially Proving Ground and it's companion, Traccia, 2016.

Back Home at Kenise Barnes Fine Art

It has been seven long years since my last show with Kenise Barnes Fine Art. Back Home represent the first batch of work to emerge form the new studio. I used to think I could make my work anywhere. Turns out, not so much.

Progress in the new studio.

The paintings are advancing during these mild Fall days. Tucker and Rueben have joined us again today to keep Juno company. They seem to enjoy the studio visits.

I am thrilled to be included in Julie Karabenick's curatorial project, Geoform. It is a fantastic collection of painters.

Geoform is an online scholarly resource and curatorial project whose focus is the use of geometric form and structure in contemporary abstract art being made by artists from around the world.

Geoform explores, documents and celebrates the rich diversity of style and aesthetic intent that characterizes this broad vein of contemporary non-objective abstraction. Such diversity attests to the profound resonance that geometric form and structure have had for people across time and place.
